Literal readings of holy books,  Israel's position toward the Palestinians,  the media's stranglehold on our perceptions, plus the "outing"  of the ancient temple as a barbecue pit and the love triangle  of David, Saul and Jonathan earned this slapstick version of First Samuel the Arch and Bruce Brown Foundation grant that partially funds this retelling of an amazing Bible story.
