PASS IT ON:

We are pleased to announce that Att. Gen. Ramsay Clark is the invited luncheon speaker at Washington, D.C.'s National Press Club, May 12. Located two blocks from The White House at 14th and F, NW, their number is (202) 662-7501. An annex can be set up with a video feed if journalists call in advance. Clark has drawn up articles of impeachment against President Bush. The website for the movement has over 150,.000 hits so far: www.votetoimpeach.org. "The appearance of 'winning' the war is irrelevant to its illegality...It's grounds for impeachment." Clark will follow the usual National Press Club format of speech, then written questions chosen by their moderator. Greens and other supporters of the key value of social responsibility are urged to alert the media with whom they have contact.

RUN THE TEAM, NOT THE PROM QUEEN:
by Ernest Haring.

There is much talk about a Green presidential candidate.

"This is putting the cart before the horses. We achieve wider and more specific debate on more substantive issues, a better exposure of the severe damage Bushism is foisting on America, a fresher newsworthiness....a substantive exposure of how the right-wing is systematically removing all programs and protections for the common American citizen by gathering a cabinet of experts who will counter Bush in each major department," says Glenn Hopkins, acting chair of the ad-hoc committee promoting the Green Cabinet concept.

"This has been a plank in our national platform before. We have done the exploratory committee--their report is posted at www.greencabinet.org-- and we're ready for a colloquium in which we can pick the brains of experts and come up with five substantive critical election issues in each of the cabinet areas. Our platform is, of necessity, very broad. This concept "embodies" the platform, fleshes it out, providing greens around the nation with solid issues on which to campaign in 2004." Hopkins, who lives and works in Los Angeles, teaching English to foreign adults for the city there, closed our phone interview: "Running with the cabinet is a unique, photogenic, post-patriarchal contribution to presidential politics whose time has come. We should be gathering the Green Cabinet to confront Bushism on all fronts.

ON, WISCONSIN !!

From former Wisconsin Chief Justice Ryan: "There is looming up a new and dark power...the enterprises of the country are aggregating vast corporate combinations of unexampled capital, boldly marching, not for economic conquest only, but for political power...For the first time really in our politics, money is taking the field as an organized power. It is unscrupulous, arrogant and overbearing...The question will arise, and arise in your day...which shall rule--wealth or (people); which shall lead--money or intellect; who shall fill public stations--educated and patriotic (people), or the feudal serfs of corporate capital."

Millions around the world marched in the street simply to communicate to our country the fact that this war was the cold policy response of an empire, not a holy crusade. In fact, the media shirked its responsibility to cover this unprecedented, World-Wide attempt at grassroots communication. In the words of David Halberstam "We built a Germany that never wanted to go to war again, and now that we have it, we're not so sure we like it."

Now that over six thousand men, women and children have been killed in Iraq and our own-created Frankenstein boogeyman is being replaced with some newer model...the media must provide a sensible analysis of the coup that is the Bush regime... and help crown a smarter, if no less selfish emperor for ourselves as well. Let's give Dick Cheney a chance to be Teddy Roosevelt --in similar times with similar issues, that Republican signed the antitrust laws!!

Let's let due process replace an assassin's bullet! This would surpass Watergate as journalism's finest hour.

Start to cover how this mediocre and doctrinaire son of a genius is fast-tracking the destruction of any help working people have gained from government in the last hundred years (repealing the concept of overtime?)

Bring this cowboy down!!

To examine Bush himself is just as dramatic as the war he generated, it
will sell as much soap, and you will feel clean! The removal of the figurehead of this Bush coup could slow down our fast-track degeneration into one superstitious, ill-fed, ill-cared-for, uneducated class, and another more comfortable one hiding behind walls that cannot ultimately protect them from the backlash of human spirit oppressed.

This is what Europe was telling us when they voluntarily took to the streets by the millions: the super-rich have done a number on us !!! Face it. Tell it. Don't be loyal to your corporate media employer and a traitor to the American citizenry!! That's what millions of marching French, Germans, Italians and on and on are telling us!! The emperor has no clothes !!

In the dramatic scenes and (very one-sided) human interest stories of this or any war we saw the trees and lost sight of the forest.

Although a charter member of The United Nations, The United States of America has ignored that body's processes and jurisdiction in the case of Iraq.

One sees no reportage of this in our war-mad media.

Newspapers, Magazines, TV, radio are beyond non-objective and are, in fact, highly culpable in their pro-Bush-regime collaboration with these unlawful vigilante actions of our "president." And the Congress is as craven as the robber-baron congresses of Mark Twain's day.

---The private sector investments of his family;

---Florida Brother-conspirator-Governor Jeb having troopers stop voters;

-- the non-recusing Supreme Court Justice's unconstitutional breach of separation of powers;

---"President" Bush's calling-off of the Clinton assassination finding against Osamu Ben Laden and calling-off related investigations that would have prevented 9-11 and allowed Henry Kissenger's war crimes trial at the Haig to begin on 9-12...

... all make the entire expedition in Iraq completely self-serving and inappropriate on the part of Mr. Bush.

There is currently a large movement (over 100,000 citizen-signators) to force Congress to impeach this "President:" www.votetoimpeach.org. sponsored by Lyndon Johnson's Attorney General, Ramsay Clark.

We demand that each media outlet demonstrate enough integrity to cover the massive world-response to this "President's" outrageous squandering of the esteem and respect formerly held toward the United States by other countries.

We demand this media outlet cover the evidence that drives this impeachment movement

Millions around the world have marched in the street to help us. Will we help ourselves?
